3 Idea Technology is looking for an experienced Furniture Industry Professional who can take complete ownership of developing and establishing our 3D-Printed Furniture Vertical.
The candidate will be responsible for identifying market opportunities, developing the business, acquiring clients, understanding furniture requirements, coordinating design and production, and managing the complete execution cycle from concept to final delivery.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in the furniture industry, along with a strong understanding of furniture design, manufacturing, materials, production processes and customer requirements. Exposure to 3D printing, additive manufacturing or innovative furniture manufacturing will be an added advantage.
What you'll do
- Key Responsibilities
- Take complete ownership of the 3D-Printed Furniture Vertical.
- Develop and execute the business strategy to establish 3D-printed furniture in the Indian market.
- Identify potential market segments such as residential, hospitality, restaurants, cafés, offices, retail, architects and interior designers.
- Generate new business opportunities and develop a strong client pipeline.
- Build relationships with architects, interior designers, furniture brands, developers, hospitality companies and corporate clients.
- Understand customer requirements and convert them into commercially viable furniture solutions.
- Identify furniture products that can be developed using 3D printing technology.
- Work closely with design and technical teams to develop new furniture concepts, prototypes and final products.
- Manage the complete execution cycle — concept → design → costing → prototyping → 3D printing → finishing → quality check → delivery/installation.
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, designers, manufacturers and installation partners.
- Develop and manage a reliable vendor and manufacturing ecosystem.
- Prepare costing and commercial proposals and negotiate with clients.
- Monitor project timelines, quality and profitability.
- Identify new furniture trends, materials, technologies and applications suitable for 3D printing.
- Build a product portfolio/catalogue for 3D-printed furniture.
- Develop partnerships with architects, designers, furniture retailers and hospitality businesses.
- Track leads, sales pipeline, orders, revenue and project profitability.
- Take responsibility for achieving business and revenue targets for the furniture vertical.
- Build the furniture vertical from the ground up and establish 3 Idea Technology as a player in innovative furniture solutions.
What we're looking for
- Candidate Profile
- 10–12 years of experience in the Furniture / Furniture Manufacturing / Interior / Furniture Design / Lifestyle Products industry.
- Should have strong understanding of the end-to-end furniture business.
- Experience in business development, sales and client acquisition is essential.
- Should have handled furniture projects from concept/design to production and final delivery.
- Strong understanding of furniture materials, manufacturing processes, finishing and installation.
- Experience working with architects, interior designers, hospitality companies or corporate clients will be preferred.
- Exposure to 3D printing / additive manufacturing / 3D-printed furniture will be an advantage.
- Should have a strong commercial understanding of costing, pricing, margins and project profitability.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
- Should be capable of independently developing a new business vertical.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, communication and project-management skills.
