What you'll do
- Job Summary:
- We are looking for a Sr.
- Engineer – Furnace to manage and monitor furnace operations, heat treatment processes, equipment performance, and production activities at our Chalisgaon manufacturing plant.
- The candidate should have hands-on experience in industrial furnace operations, heat treatment, temperature control, and furnace maintenance/optimization, preferably from the wire rope, steel, wire, or metal manufacturing industry.
What we're looking for
- Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control furnace operations as per production and quality requirements.
- Handle heat treatment processes including heating, soaking, cooling and temperature control.
- Ensure furnace parameters are maintained as per defined SOPs and process specifications.
- Monitor temperature, heating cycles, fuel consumption and furnace efficiency.
- Troubleshoot furnace-related operational and process issues.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality and Maintenance teams for smooth furnace operations.
- Ensure proper loading/unloading of material and optimum furnace utilization.
- Maintain production records, furnace logs and process-related documentation.
- Identify opportunities for energy saving, productivity improvement and process optimization.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and operating procedures around high-temperature equipment.
- Support preventive and breakdown maintenance activities in coordination with the maintenance team.
- Monitor furnace condition and highlight abnormalities requiring maintenance intervention.
- Ensure consistent heat treatment quality and minimize rejection, rework and process variation.
- Assist in implementing continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Train and guide operators on safe and efficient furnace operation.
What we offer
- Education:
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production Engineering.
- Relevant experience in furnace or heat treatment operations will be preferred.
- Experience:
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in furnace / heat treatment / steel / wire / metal manufacturing.
- Candidates with experience in wire rod, wire drawing, steel wire or wire rope manufacturing will be preferred.
